At the very young age of 9, I found myself watching mum in the kitchen making the base of all curries and use to ask her a lot of questions about all the spices. One thing she told me is if the base of any curry is well cooked, it'll turn out to be a very good dish, whether adding vegetable or protein. Just keep it simple and flavours will follow.”

Delaware North – Dietary Requirements Policy (2026)
Delaware North is pleased to accommodate standard dietary requirements to support an inclusive and safe guest experience. To enable appropriate preparation and service, the following policy applies to all catered events.
1. Standard Dietaries (included with notice)
The following dietaries are included within menu pricing when advised at least 3 business days prior to the event:
- Vegetarian
- Vegan
- Pescatarian
- Low Gluten
- Lactose Intolerance
Medical Allergies (nuts, tree nuts, dairy, egg, wheat, soy, fish, crustaceans, sesame, lupin, mollusc, sulphites)The following dietaries are included within menu pricing when advised at least 3 business days prior to the event:
2. Late Dietary Requests
Dietaries received after the above notice period will incur preparation charges:
- Less than 3 business days prior: $15 per course per person
- On the day / not pre-advised: $30 per person
3. Non-Standard Dietaries
Requests outside the standard dietary list (e.g. highly specific lifestyle diets) will incur a $30 per person surcharge, subject to feasibility. This fee reflects the additional time, resources and planning required by Delaware North culinary team to create a tailored alternative meal that meets the guests’ specific needs.
Please be advised that Delaware North is unable to guarantee that any food produced, or served at this site is "free" of any allergens. While every effort is made to accommodate allergen requests, our food is made in our kitchens that contain allergens. Delaware North and the Client will discuss the Client's food and beverage requirements and it is the clients responsibility to correctly notify Delaware North of all dietaries.
4. Religious Meals
Religious dietary requirements (e.g. Halal, Kosher) will be quoted case-by-case, based on specific requirements and any applicable third-party supply costs.
5. Food Safety
All meals are prepared in commercial kitchens that handle common allergens. Clients must advise all dietary requirements within the stated timeframes to enable safe preparation and minimise cross-contact risk.
6. External Food Provisions
No external food including activations, gifts or branded food items are to be served or brought into the MCG. Clients may discuss arrangements with Delaware North no later than 5 days prior to the event, however Delaware North reserves the right to deny. Delaware North MCG Catering Services Pty Ltd (operating as “Delaware North”) look forward to providing professional and personal assistance in the planning of your function. It is most important that you understand that all applications are made & services are provided subject to the following terms and conditions for Corporate Dining at the MCG. Our Corporate Dining department will happily assist with any queries you may have.
